Letter to all who want to see action....
This letter is intended to find the eyes, minds, and hearts of people that willing to help make a vision come true.
Please see my testimony at on this page. As you can see, God has led me to a point in my life where I care more about strangers' lives than I do my own. I rejoice when some precious soul comes out of the darkness of this world into a life long relationship with Jesus Christ.
Currently, my time is spent working with the "down and out" in society. My work has led me to start and run homeless shelters, a food pantry, and a home church. Many of the people that I help, I meet while doing ministry behind prison bars. I believe my connection to the Holy Ghost gives me the power to make society changing initiatives.
Now that I know who God is and that He is not me; I need to bring stability to this ministry and the life that He has given me.
There is a great need to have more dependable and financially secure buildings for the homeless and food pantry ministries. In the ten years of doing this work, we have been a nomadic street ministry, but I believe it is time to leave the days of rented houses, rented farms, rented shops, and rented warehouses that have housed these ministries in past years and purchase more stable arrangements.
My personal needs include a modest house for my family to live in. My testimony tells the story of living in a million dollar house but I lost that house in the process of being saved. I am reminded of Jim Elliot's immortal words "It is no fool that loses what He can not keep, to gain what he can not lose."
I want to share a miracle with you. Modern society has been deeply impacted by social media. Facebook is well known. A lesser known social media is LinkedIn. Earlier this year, I found myself as a pastor linked with 5 connections. That total was the result of two years of casually linking. One day, I received a request to link with someone. I accepted the request and the avalanche started. When the run finished a few days later, over 5,000 connections had been made. I now have connections in all fifty; several locations in Europe, Canada, South America, and Asia. I am sending this letter to all those connections and to the fraternity brothers that I went to engineering school with, and the precious brothers that I do jail ministry with.
I believe what God has done is to provide a base that can fund this kingdom effort without being too great a burden for any one person.
